Superior Debt Relief provides debt settlement services to help the millions of Americans currently struggling with unsecured debt, including credit cards debts, medical bills, and more.

There are many aspects of this debt relief company that we really like, but there are also a few that concern us and make us question whether it's worth signing up or whether it makes more sense to choose one of their competitors. As always, we explain these things in greater detail in our Superior Debt Relief review below.

About Superior Debt Relief

Before we get into our Superior Debt Relief reviews, let's first learn a little more about this company.

Update Late 2018

Superior Debt Relief have gone fairly quiet, and we began hearing reports that they were going out of business. We contacted them directly in November 2018, and were told that they were in the process of winding the business down and were not taking on new clients.

At the time, they are merely working their way through the clients that they already have and will then be shutting up shop. We are going to keep his review active so we have an archive of the company just incase they return (should that happen, we will also update this page) but it's worth noting that you will likely be turned away if you are looking to signup with their services from this point on.

Superior Debt Relief

Our Superior Debt Relief Review

You have no doubt already seen our rating for this company. We arrived at this score after an extensive review, researching everything we could find, speaking with customers and employees, and more, and we also update it on a regular basis.

The Good

Experienced Counseling

Superior Debt Relief (SDR) have helped countless Americans to escape from millions of dollars worth of debt and enjoy the financial freedom that they deserve. They have a low minimum debt requirement at just $5,000, and have been going for a very long time.

This degree of experience is essential if you want to save yourself a lot of money and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with having experience on your side. The low rate is also a huge positive when you consider that the average in this industry is above $10,000 and that some companies, Trinity Debt Management being one, have a minimum debt requirement of $30,000.

Positive Customer Reviews

The reviews for SDR are that consultants on the team make their clients feel comfortable and assured throughout the debt settlement process. The majority of the reviews left about the company mention something about the quality of the customer service. Past clients seem to be very satisfied with their overall experience.

Money Back Guarantee

A money back guarantee is outlined on the SDR website, and this is always nice to see. We are not sure if it has an expiration date, which would be good to know, but we always welcome a money back guarantee because it provides clients with additional peace of mind and gives them a get out clause should they need it.

Of course, it doesn't mean that you can afford to signup on a whim. It's not a dress bought from a clothing catalog that you can send back when you realize it's not the right size. If you undertake a program like this and then get your money back several months down the line, you will still have lost a few things, including valuable time that could have been used to reduce your debts. Your risk of litigation has also increased, because creditors will grow increasingly concerned that they have not received their money.

So, while money back guarantees are great, they are not an excuse to signup to every site and every service going.

Free Consultation

You can begin your custom with Superior Debt Relief by taking advantage of their free consultation. Just give them a ring, describe your financial situation and your needs, and see if they have anything to offer you. We have not heard many reports of pressure selling or harassment, but with debt settlement companies like this there is always going to be an element of pressure selling involved–these phone calls are not there to provide you with free debt counseling and then send you on your way.

The Bad

Lacking Some Accreditations

Superior Debt Relief lacks key industry and federal accreditations, even though many of their rivals have these. They do have an IAPDA accreditation, but they are not accredited with the AFCC, who are one of the biggest players in this industry. This ultimately means that the company doesn't have to comply with strict rules and regulations outlined by industry experts.

Superior Debt Relief Help

Limited Availability

Superior Debt Relief  is available in 28 states, which means tens of millions of Americans cannot access their services. If you reside in one of the following states then you will not be able to signup to Superior Debt Relief: CT, GA, HI, IL, ID, KS, KY, LA, ME, MT, ND, NH, NJ, OR, RI, SC, TN, UT, VT, WA, WI, WV, Washington D.C.

The Bottom Line

Unfortunately, there are a lot of restrictions and issues with this company and these stop us from recommending them.

They do have a lot of experience, and we also like the low entry point of just $5,000, but they lack key industry accreditations and we believe that there are many better, more experienced and more accessible companies out there. Some of the ones that we recommend in their place include Pacific Debt, Freedom Debt Relief and Clearone Advantage.
